By utilizing intellectual property as an information asset and applying it to business strategy and R&D decision-making, we support the creation of new value.

Our intellectual property activities are performed under the supervision of senior management. Senior management oversees the direction of our intellectual property strategy at the operation executive board meeting, and the Intellectual Property Department reports on progress regularly through the executives in charge.
In addition, the Intellectual Property Department takes the lead in reviewing utilization policies for each IP asset through review meetings, which involve collaboration with business divisions to evaluate and manage these assets.

For our core technologies, we have established a patent network to prevent competitors from entering the market. In addition, by analyzing patent data, we identify technological trends and areas of focus for competitors, enabling us to file strategic patent applications.
Furthermore, we regularly evaluate the technical value and business contribution of our existing patents to optimize our intellectual property portfolio. Rather than simply increasing the number of patents, we are building a high-quality intellectual property foundation by concentrating our resources on core technologies that underpin our business competitiveness.

Through the analysis of patent information, we visualize technology trends and competitor activities, and utilize these insights to consider business strategies and the direction of research and development.
We leverage intellectual property information for a wide range of decision-making processes, including investigating solutions to technical challenges, exploring new fields, developing new applications, and selecting collaboration partners.
